The specified tightening torque of 460Nm could not be applied due to lack of space and the need to use large hand torque wrenches.
A lubrication system was designed consisting of surface treatment of bolt threads, nut faces and washers with POWERtorque LF Kote 450 in combination with POWERtorque LF Booster applied during assembly.
Thanks to the lubrication system, the friction coefficient values have been significantly reduced. The tightening torque was recalculated to these values, which dropped from the original 460Nm to 260Nm, making it possible to tighten with a short torque wrench. The customer was able to carry out the assembly with his own staff and tools.
