Our offer includes a very wide range of materials and dimensions of rings according to DIN, ISO, BSI, ASTM, CSN and other standards. The extensive range of materials allows the use of o-rings in virtually all types of media.
Cord diameters from 0.35 to 40 mm and internal o-ring diameters up to 5000 mm are available.
The O-ring is mainly used as a static seal. For dynamic applications, limitations based on speed and sealing pressure must be observed. When selecting an o-ring, care should be taken to select the correct material** based on the required temperature, chemical and other resistance.
Compound | Description | Shore A hardness | Temperature resistance °C |
---|---|---|---|
NR (Paraguma) | It is distinguished by its abrasion resistance, high elasticity and good physical-mechanical properties. It is not resistant to oil, ozone, atmospheric influences. | 30 - 95 | From -40 to 85 |
SBR | Cost-effective type of synthetic rubber for general use. It has lower resistance to atmospheric influences and chemicals. | 30 - 95 | From -30 to 100 |
NBR | Oil resistant rubber for use primarily in mineral oil based media applications. | 30 - 95 | From -30 to 100 |
HNBR | Compared to NBR it stands out for its tensile strength. Maintains properties when exposed to heat, oil and chemicals | 30 - 95 | -40 to 150 |
EPDM | Rubber resistant to atmospheric influences, UV and ozone radiation. Excellent temperature resistance. | 40 - 85 | -50 to 150 |
CR (Neoprene) | Mainly used in refrigeration technology and applications where the seal is exposed to external weathering. | 40 - 90 | -20 to 100 |
VMQ (Silicone) | Material resistant to high temperatures, atmospheric influences and selected chemicals. Suitable for food applications. | 20 - 80 | From -60 to 200 |
FPM/FKM (Viton) | Rubber with excellent chemical and heat resistance. Especially used in high temperature mineral oil and grease based applications. | 65 - 90 | -20 to 200 |
FFKM | For its excellent chemical and temperature resistance it is used in the chemical and process industries. For aggressive environments and high temperatures. | 70 - 95 | From -30 to 325 |
