The application of the correct tightening torques is crucial to achieve optimum flange seal performance. Improper tightening of fasteners can result in uneven compression of the seal and subsequent leaks. Unfortunately, most of the available data regarding the coefficients of friction of commonly available lubricants is often misleading. This has led us to develop our own lubricants with laboratory-verified properties in collaboration with universities.
For critical flange joints, we exclusively provide our sealing materials in combination with our lubricants, ensuring accurate tightening torque calculations for the specific application. Only in this way can a reliably tightened joint be achieved.
As additional support for structural engineers, we also offer online tightening torque calculation software that is calibrated to the friction coefficient values of our lubricants. This tool is available here on our website.
