2-Propenoic Acid
Acrylic acid is a colourless liquid with a pungent fruity odour. Acrylic acid is produced on a large scale for use in the manufacture of a wide range of polymers, including polyacrylates, which are used in a variety of applications such as adhesives, paints and textiles. Acrylic acid can be irritating to the skin, eyes and respiratory tract and exposure to high concentrations of this chemical can have health effects.
