Chlordane is a pesticide that has been widely used in the United States and other countries to control termites and other pests in soil, on crops, and on buildings. It is a persistent organic pollutant and has been classified as a possible human carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. It has never been used or produced in the Czech Republic.
