Aziridine
Aziridines are organic compounds that contain an aziridine functional group, the starting compound being an aziridine known as ethylenimine. Aziridine is a colourless liquid that is reactive and highly flammable. It is used as an intermediate in the production of various chemicals and polymers, such as rubber additives, lubricants and surfactants. It is also used as an intermediate in the production of other chemicals such as epoxy resin, pesticides and fungicides, and as an intermediate in organic synthesis.
