HCBD, Perchlorbutadiene
Hexachlorobutadiene (HCBD) is a man-made organochlorine compound, a colourless liquid with a musty odour. It is a by-product of industrial production of chlorinated solvents and pesticides and can also be found in some types of contaminated soils and sediments. It is considered a persistent organic pollutant and its production and use are banned or restricted in many countries.
