Hydraulic oil (synthetic) is a type of hydraulic fluid made from synthetic compounds such as synthetic esters, polyglycols, alkylated aromatics and alcohols. It is used as a lubricant and power transmission medium in hydraulic systems such as automotive, industrial and agricultural machinery. Synthetic hydraulic oil is designed to withstand high pressures, reduce machine wear and dissipate heat generated by friction in the system. It is also used to provide a seal between low friction surfaces and as a protective barrier against the environment.
