IPN, 2-Propyl Nitrate, Isonite
Isopropyl nitrate is an organic compound that is used as a fuel in racing cars and other high-performance vehicles. It is a colourless, flammable liquid with a slight, sweetish odour. It is produced by the reaction of isopropyl alcohol and nitric acid and is also used as a propellant in aerosol products and as an oxidizing agent.
