NMP, 1-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone
N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) is an organic compound that is a colorless liquid miscible with water, has a low viscosity and a high boiling point. It is commonly used as a solvent in the manufacture of paints, adhesives and electronic products as well as in oil and gas extraction. It is also used as a solvent in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. However, it has also been identified as a reproductive and developmental toxicant.
