NMU
N-nitroso-N-methyl urea (NMU) is a whitish powder that is slightly soluble in water. NMU belongs to a group of chemicals known as nitrosamines, which are known carcinogens. It is a by-product of some industrial processes, such as the production of pesticides and fertilizers, and may also be present in some foods. It is also considered a potential environmental pollutant.
