Saltpeter
Potassium nitrate, also known as potassium ledec, is a crystalline, white solid that is commonly used in a variety of applications. Potassium nitrate has a wide range of uses, including as a fertilizer in agriculture, a preservative in food, and an ingredient in pyrotechnics and fireworks. It is also used in some industrial processes, for example in the production of gunpowder and as an oxidizer in rocket fuels.
