Asbestos-free sealing plate made of aramid fibers with NBR binder.

  • For low pressures and temperatures.
  • For water, petroleum derivatives and hydrocarbons, weak bases, brine, vegetable and animal oils, common chemicals, aliphatic and aromatic solvents, neutral solutions, etc.
  • Also suitable as a seal for Teflon shirts.

Available plate thicknesses: 0.5 - 1.0 - 1.5 - 2.0 - 3.0 mm Slab dimensions: 1500 x 1600 mm; 1500 x 3200 mm on request

Questions and Answers

For fibre-rubber materials in general, the weakest part is the rubber, i.e. NBR, CSM, etc. In particular, the temperature resistance of these elastomers ranges from -20 °C to a maximum of 150 °C. For this reason, the temperature resistance cannot be increased even by the addition of e.g. graphite, aramid, etc.
