1,2-Propanediol, 1,2-Dihydroxypropane
Propylene glycol is a colourless, odourless and almost tasteless organic compound. It is a clear, viscous liquid that is used as a solvent, humectant and emulsifier in a wide range of products, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food and personal care products. Propylene glycol is also used as an antifreeze in automotive cooling systems and as a component of electronic cigarettes.
