Water-based alum solutions are often used as astringents and as a water purifier. They can also be used as a mordant in dyeing and printing fabrics and as a food additive. Alum solutions can be harmful if large amounts are ingested and can cause health effects such as stomach irritation and nausea.

Reinforced with bonded smooth Ni foil 0.013 mm thick (material: 2.4066). For low and medium pressures.
Reinforced with 0.1 mm thick perforated reed plate (material: AISI 316). For medium and higher pressures.

FKM has excellent chemical and heat resistance. It is used in mineral oil and grease based applications.
