Pentyl Acetate, Acetic Acid Pentyl Ester
Amyl acetate is a colourless, sweet-smelling liquid that is highly flammable and volatile. Amyl acetate is used as a solvent for a variety of materials, including plastics, resins and dyes, and as a flavouring and fragrance ingredient in food and personal care products. It is also used in the manufacture of paints, varnishes and printing inks. Amyl acetate can be harmful if ingested or inhaled in large quantities. It is also an irritant and can cause skin and eye irritation.
