Tribromomethan
Bromoform, also known as tribromomethane, is a clear, colorless liquid with a sweet chloroform-like odor that is highly soluble in water. Bromoform is used as a solvent, laboratory reagent and disinfectant and is also used in the manufacture of other chemicals. Bromoform can be harmful if ingested or in contact with skin in high concentrations and can also have a negative impact on the environment if released into the air or water.
