Calcite, Limestone
Calcium carbonate is a common substance found in rocks as the minerals calcite and aragonite (especially as limestone, which contains both of these minerals) and is a major component of the pearls and shells of marine organisms, snails and eggs. Calcium carbonate is used in many industries, including construction (e.g. as a raw material for cement, lime and mortar), as a filler in paints, plastics and rubber, and in the manufacture of iron and steel. It is also a key ingredient in the production of glass, ceramics and carbonated beverages. It is also used as a dietary supplement for calcium.

FKM has excellent chemical and heat resistance. It is used in mineral oil and grease based applications.
