2-Ethoxyethanol
Ethylcellosolve is a clear, colorless liquid with a sweet, ether-like odor. It belongs to the group of solvents known as glycol ethers and is also known as 2-ethoxyethanol. It is used as a solvent in a variety of applications such as paint, paint and coating removal, as well as in the manufacture of personal care products, cleaning products and industrial chemicals. It is also used as a component of some hydraulic fluids and as a solvent in the manufacture of resins.
