Folate, Folacin
Folic acid is a B vitamin that is essential for the growth and development of the human body. It is also known as vitamin B9. It plays an important role in the formation of red blood cells and the formation of DNA. It is also essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system. Folic acid can be found in many foods, including green leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, beans and peas.
