Freon 121 (tetrafluoroethane) is a chlorofluorocarbon used as a refrigerant in air conditioning and other refrigeration systems. Refrigerant oil is a type of oil used in refrigeration and air conditioning systems to lubricate the compressor and other moving parts. It is usually a mineral oil or a blend of synthetic oils and must be compatible and compatible with the refrigerant used.
