100 and 130 octane gasoline are types of high performance gasoline. They are used in racing and high-performance vehicles that require a higher octane rating to prevent engine knock or detonation. Higher octane gasolines are generally more expensive than lower octane gasolines, but provide more power and reduce engine knock.
