Hydrobromic acid is a strong acid with a low boiling point and is highly corrosive. It is an aqueous solution of hydrogen bromide It is used in the manufacture of other chemicals, in the production of pharmaceuticals, in photography, and in the treatment of various medical conditions. It is also used in some industrial processes, such as the Leblanc process for making sodium carbonate.
