Manganese sulfate is a white crystalline powder that is soluble in water. It is mainly used as a source of manganese in fertilizers and animal feed. It is also used as a raw material in the manufacture of other chemicals, as a water purifier and as a reagent in the laboratory. The aqueous solution is also used in the manufacture of ceramics, batteries and as a micronutrient in hydroponics.
