Methyl Prop-2-Enoate
Methyl acrylate is a colourless liquid with a pungent, acrid odour. It is a reactive monomer that is used in the manufacture of a wide range of polymers and copolymers, particularly in the production of plastics, adhesives and coatings. It is also used as a crosslinking agent for polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl chloride and other polymers.
