Methylcyclopentane is a colourless liquid with a gasoline-like odour, used primarily as a solvent and intermediate in the manufacture of other chemicals. It is also used in the production of fragrances, flavourings and pesticides. It is considered a flammable liquid and vapour and is toxic if inhaled.
