Lime milk is a suspension of fine particles of calcium hydroxide, lime water is its aqueous solution. It is used in a variety of industrial and agricultural applications, including water treatment, papermaking, and soil stabilization. In water treatment, it is used to raise the pH of water and to remove impurities such as carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide. In agriculture, it is used to adjust soil pH and to supply calcium to plants.
