Sodium aluminate is an inorganic compound in the form of a white to yellowish crystalline powder. It is a soluble sodium salt of aluminium and is commonly used in various industrial applications such as water treatment, papermaking and ceramics. Sodium aluminate can also be used as a flux for the production of aluminium metal, as a coagulant for water purification and as a raw material for the production of other aluminium compounds.
