The metal sealing rings are designed for high pressures and temperatures - they can seal joints with pressures up to 1500 bar and temperatures up to 1000 °C.
Metal sealing rings are designed for high pressures and temperatures - depending on the properties of the ring, they are able to seal joints with pressures up to 1500 bar and temperatures up to 1000 °C.
Ring Type Joints were originally developed for high pressure and high temperature applications in the petrochemical industry. Today, they can also be found in valve and piping systems, high pressure tanks and the like.
To avoid damage to the flange or the ring itself, care must be taken to select the correct material. The choice of ring material depends mainly on the chemical compatibility with the medium and the hardness of the material of the given flange.
The ring material should ideally be approximately 30 brinels softer than the flange.
