Ammonia - Gas, Cold - Chemical resistance

Ammonia

Ammonia is a colourless, pungent gas that is highly soluble in water. It is a compound of nitrogen and hydrogen with the chemical formula NH3. Ammonia gas is commonly used as a refrigerant in commercial refrigeration systems, where it is known as "cold ammonia" because it is used to transfer heat from one place to another using a refrigeration cycle. It is also used in the manufacture of fertilizers, explosives and cleaning agents. Ammonia gas is highly toxic and exposure to it can be harmful to humans and animals.
