Orthoboric Acid
Boric acid is a white crystalline chemical compound. It is a weak acid that is commonly used as an antiseptic, insecticide and flame retardant. It has a number of properties that make it useful in a variety of applications, including low toxicity, high stability, and the ability to kill a wide range of insects and microorganisms. Its dilute solutions (usually 2-3%) are used in ophthalmology under the name pine water.

FKM has excellent chemical and heat resistance. It is used in mineral oil and grease based applications.
