DEA
Diethanolamine (DEA) is an organic chemical compound that belongs to the amine group. It is a clear, colourless liquid with a mild alkaline taste and a faint amine odour. DEA is used as a pH adjuster, emulsifier and corrosion inhibitor in various industrial and household products such as detergents, personal care products and lubricants. However, DEA is known to be a potential human carcinogen and its use has been restricted in some products and countries due to its potential health and environmental risks.
