1-Butanol, Butyl Alcohol
Butyl alcohol, also known as butanol, is a primary alcohol. It is a colourless, flammable liquid with a strong pungent odour. Butyl alcohol is used as a solvent, in the production of butyl acrylate, a monomer used to make various polymers, and as an intermediate in the production of other chemicals, such as butyl acetate, which is used as a solvent.

It is used in refrigeration and applications where the seal is exposed to external weathering.
FKM has excellent chemical and heat resistance. It is used in mineral oil and grease based applications.
